We hope the trip was easy, and we are so glad you are here. Here are some details that might help you as you get settled in.
Housekeeping is every third night, but if you need something (towels, coffee, bathroom amenities), just call the front desk and they'll be happy to help.
Towels for the beach and pool are available at the pool deck (so you don't have to bring any from the room down to the beach).
Sundial asks you to keep your wristband with you. (That's how they keep the locals out haha).
The resort has daily activities at the pool area. 11 am is an activity, noon is usually a pay-to-play crafting activity, and then they have poolside Bingo every day at 3 pm.
The link below takes you to their FAQ page which has more details that might answer your questions.
Breakfast 7-11 am in Captain's Catch (the lobby restaurant). There is no charge for breakfast, it is included in your room rate.
Lunch on your own. If you stay at Sundial, you can charge meals to your room and it will be covered under our account. Drinks, spa services, and any merchandise will go on the credit card you put on file when you checked in. (We don't need to know how many pina coladas anyone drinks...)
Dinners are organized activities as follows:
Ding Darling Tram & Kayaking (Thursday/Friday)
If you are leaving the resort to go to Tarpon Bay kayaking or Ding Darling for the tram ride, you will find "tickets" in your welcome bag.
The link below will take you to the page with details about each of those trips in case you want more details about them before you head out. Meet in the lobby by the front entrance at the time designated to catch a ride for your adventure.
Cabbage Key (Saturday)
We will meet in the lobby Saturday morning for a 9 am departure. We will drive to Captiva and then get on the boat from there.
The boat has an inside area if you want to stay out of the sun/elements, and the top level of the boat is open (think magazine style photo opps). The boat ride is short but offers the chance to see the shoreline of the islands, dolphin and other wildlife along the way. We will have a couple of hours on Cabbage Key and then board the boat for the ride back.
8 am Thursday and Friday are clinics for just our group. If you are either a true beginner and want to learn the basics of play or if you are looking to take your game up a level, this clinic will be the place for some instruction and drills.
9-11 am daily is open play. If you've played before and want to just join in with other resort guests, this is the time for you. You put your paddle in the queue and feed in and out of games with everyone else.
The pickleball courts are up front by the parking lot (between the resort buildings and the road). They have paddles and balls for you so just lace out and come see what it's all about.
Yoga will be at 8 am Thursday and Friday. We will meet upstairs on the third floor terrace. If yoga doesn't take your breath away, the view will; it's a great view!
Head to the lobby, take the main stairs upstairs and head to the left. Wear comfortable clothes and just be ready to stretch a bit. It's a great way to start the day!
We are using Sanibel Taxi for airport transfers and on-island trips. We have arranged to get you back to the airport in plenty of time based on your planned flight time. However, if your flight has been changed, you can call Sanibel Taxi directly to change your pickup times. Their number is 239-472-4160.
We created 3 Google maps that will help you get your bearings. If you want to know where we are going each day or if you want to take some bikes and see the island, these may help you.
Shopping may not be on top of everyone's list of things to do. However, there are several shops that are easy enough to bike to if you want to bring back something from the island. Here are a couple of our recommendations.
